Four weeks market rent is payable at commencement of lease as bond payment. Compass Housing requires you to pay a bond when you commence a tenancy. However, in some cases tenants cannot afford to pay the entire bond in one lump sum. In some circumstances Compass Housing may approve a repayment plan to assist with financial hardship
Bonds are lodged with NSW Fair Trading as per the Residential Tenancies Act 2010.
If at the final inspection, the property has been kept in the same condition as when you first moved in (that is clean and undamaged) and you have no outstanding rent payments or debts owing to Compass Housing, then your bond can be refunded to you.
