Priority Maintenance

Repairs that if not completed could put the tenant’s or other person’s health, safety or security at risk. A response is required within 7 days* (of Compass being notified during business hours) to fix the problem or make safe and secure. Appropriate arrangements must be put in place after hours and on weekends to address priority maintenance. Examples of priority maintenance include:

  • Minor plumbing leaks/defects
  • Defective cistern or overflow
  • Hot water faults
  • Minor electrical faults
  • Roof leaks
  • Blocked gutters
  • Severe dampness
  • Offensive or racist graffiti

*A contractor must attend and complete, or make safe if the required work can not completed, within 7 days. Non emergency and non urgent maintenance where physical inspection is required prior to issuing work orders.
