Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director - Greg Budworth
Greg is the CEO and Executive Director of Compass Housing Services Co Ltd. Compass Housing has been delivering community housing since its inception in 1994 and Greg has been its CEO since 2004. Since that time, Compass has emerged as one of the leading Community Housing Providers in New South Wales and the largest regionally based community housing organisation in Australia.
Since 2004, Compass Housing has grown from managing 400 properties from one location in Newcastle to managing 3,500 properties from 6 service centres, a regional administrative office across the State of New South Wales, which is supported by a Central Administrative Office in Hamilton NSW. Compass Housing has seen growth in staffing from 8 to 85, net assets from circa $6 million to $200 million and is continuing to diversify into other areas of business and delivery of services with a particular focus on social inclusion, equity and environmental sustainability.
Greg is currently a member of PowerHousing Australia, the primary industry representative organisation for the majority of Australia’s largest community housing providers, a director of the Australasian Housing Institute and a member of various other related committees and panels..
Greg has a Masters Degree in Business from Newcastle University and other tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Project Management, Workplace Safety and Workplace Training, as well as, other qualifications relevant to former vocations as a minister of religion and police detective. He has previous experience in CEO and senior management roles in for profit human service organisations and is completing a Doctorate in Business Administration.

Chief Financial Officer – Paul Douglas
Currently responsible for the overall management of the accounting and IT functions of the organisation. Paul is responsible for strategic planning for the organisation from a financial perspective, treasury functions, cash flow management and forecasting as well budget preparation and co-ordination. In addition, Paul is also responsible for all of the organisations financial reporting requirements, assisting in the preparation of tender submissions, ensuring compliance with legislative, statutory and taxation requirements and audit liaison and assistance in preparation of Statutory Accounts.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Newcastle University (Financial Accounting Major) and is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. Paul has been working within the accounting profession for over 15 years, with over 6 years’ experience as the finance head of large international organisations as well as working within the corporate recovery and insolvency industry providing turnaround solutions to financially distressed companies.

Executive Manager Business, Environmental & Organisational Development - Lyndall Robertshaw
Currently responsible for the development of new significant and or assigned business opportunities. Lyndall is responsible for developing new relationships, increasing management of properties, Project Management & submission of EOI’s and Tenders, as well as the Project Management of Registration and Accreditation of Compass Housing. This department also oversees the Marketing and Branding of Compass and the 'GROW' Program, in addition to managing the internal organisational & human resource functions.
This also includes the receipt and project management of the Nation Building Economic Stimulus Plan (NBESP) dwellings, as well as the management of the acquisition of Compass Housing owned dwellings. Environmental development is being undertaken through the DECCW Sustainability Advantage Program, as well as sourcing Green Business opportunities through tendered funding.
Lyndall is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Business Management and an Advanced Diploma Management. Lyndall has completed a Diploma in Project Management and a Diploma in Interior Design. Lyndall has had previous experience in construction, Writing, negotiating, executing and administering Contracts and variations.

Executive Manager Strategic Assets & Developments - Michelle Janout
Currently responsible for service delivery of repairs, maintenance and upgrades to over 3300 properties & project management of constructions across Compass housing entire portfolio.
Michelle has a strong technical background with over 15 year’s experience in senior roles with 2 national telecommunications companies in addition to 12 year’s experience in the construction industry. Michelle holds trade licences, a Diploma in Project Management and is currently studying for a Diploma in Management. Experience in property management, both as an owner and a housing manager gives Michelle a unique perspective and broad knowledge of the industry.
This position also encompasses strategic asset management of Compass assets, management of fleet & asset insurance matters and associated legal matters.

Executive Manager Operations: Eastern Division - Rebecca Barnes
Rebecca is currently responsible for the operational management of Compass Housing's Branch offices in Newcastle, East Maitland and Central Coast. This entails the direct management of over 2000 properties as well as ensuring that Branch Managers are managing their branches effectively and efficiently in line with company budgets, benchmarks and key performance indicators.
This position also encompasses the proactive provision for developing business relationships and partnerships in this area whilst appropriately actioning business development opportunities.
Rebecca has 8 years’ experience in the Social Housing sector of Housing New South Wales and 9 years’ experience in the Australian Federal Police. She has attained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Health Science as well as a Certificate IV in Social Housing and a Certificate IV in Front Line Management and a Diploma in Policing.

Chief Operations Officer/Executive Manager Community Sustainability - Debra Allan
Currently responsible for implementing and expanding the reach of our 'GROW' program, in conjunction with expanding and strengthening the community development functions of Compass Housing.
Debra comes with a background and experience as a property and commercial lawyer. Up until August 2009 Debra was a Partner in a national law firm. Debra desires to promote integration and participation between tenants and the wider community. Debra is also a volunteer Board member of the Hunter Region Working Women's Group. Debra has a Bachelor of Arts/Law(Hons).
Debra is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and also holds a Diploma in Management (Social Enterprise).
