About the role

The Maintenance Officer will contribute to the efficient and effective workings of the Assets unit by executing daily tasks with a strong attention to detail.  Reporting to the Executive Manager Technical and Property services our ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in residential property management services, strong time management skills and be adaptable and flexible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure property maintenance service requests and purchase orders are processed in an effective and accurate manner;

  • Ensure database is maintained and generate reports as required by the Executive Manager Technical and Property Services;

  • Accepting correspondence on quotations and invoices;

  • Assisting with the allocation of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance;

  • Liaise with tenants, contractors, suppliers and internal staff in the coordination of maintenance work;

    Selection Criteria:

    To be considered for this role, all applicants must address the following Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced administration role including high volume data entry;

  • Strong understanding of and previous experience property/facilities maintenance;

  • Previous experience in liaising with and scheduling trades/contractors on a daily basis

  • Project management skills, including the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines

  • Excellent communication and organisation skills;

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team;

  • Demonstrated personal commitment to sustainability and process efficiency
