Legal practitioner with over 10 years' experience primarily in the areas of local government, commercial and construction law in private practice and in-house with global engineering consultancy firms (advising on all aspects of major infrastructure projects, including joint ventures and alliances), with additional experience in commercial and civil litigation, debt recovery and insolvency, privacy, tax and employment law.
Author in the area of intellectual property, as well as authoring 3 editions of a NSW legal text on community housing and 1 edition of a QLD legal text on community housing.

Experience
Over 17 years’ experience as a non-executive director of unlisted public companies, not-for-profits and government organisations. Has a range of specialised skill sets in the areas of governance, risk, strategy development, stakeholder relations and finance. Has held various board and committee memberships which have relied on these skills and his financial and accounting qualifications.
Paul's leadership roles span over 30 years, with 20 years in local government senior management, ranging from Community and Recreation Services to Corporate and Business Services. An acumen for business development led to 10 years as CEO of Newcastle Airport leading its evolution as a major regional economic driver providing excellent shareholder returns, significantly enhanced access and connectivity through the ongoing development of a well-regarded, vital community asset.
Paul has had extensive dealings with all levels of Government. This includes participating in a number of local, state and Commonwealth government reviews and committees. He is currently the principal of a consultancy to various tourism, government, wine industry and aviation clients as well as offering individual coaching and mentoring support.

Greg is the Group Managing Director of Compass Housing Services Co Ltd.
Compass Housing has been delivering community housing since its inception in 1994 and Greg has been its CEO since 2004. Since that time, Compass has emerged as one of the leading Community Housing Providers in New South Wales and Queensland States and is one of the largest community housing organisations in Australia.
Greg is currently the Chair of the External Relations Committee of the International Housing Partnership and Co-Chair of the United Nations Habitat Partner Constituent Group for Civil Society. He has served in various governance roles for PowerHousing Australia, the NSW Federation of Housing Associations and the Australasian Housing Institute as well as other homelessness and human service organisations.
Greg has a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and Masters in Business (M. Bus) from Newcastle University and other tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Project Management, Workplace Safety and Workplace Training, as well as, other qualifications relevant to former vocations as a minister of religion and police detective. He has previous experience in CEO and senior management roles in for profit human service organisations and is completing a Doctorate in Business Administration and is a certified professional member of the Australasian Housing Institute, a graduate member of Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of Australian Institute of Management.
Since the foundation of the organisation, Compass Housing has continually sought to improve in assets and tenancy management, client outcomes and financial outcomes.


Lyndall brings over 10 years’ experience in the community housing sector.
Lyndall is currently responsible for the Corporate Services Department of Compass Housing. In this capacity she is responsible for Business Development, Marketing, Environmental Development, and Human Resource functions, Property Acquisitions, Complaints Management, Project Management and Disability Services.
Throughout her ten years with Compass Housing, Lyndall has been highly involved in the growth of the organisation, which has involved a number of stock transfers including whole of estate locations. Prior to her roles with Compass, Lyndall worked in the construction industry.
Lyndall is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company of Directors, is currently undertaking Bachelor of Business Management. Lyndall has completed an Advanced Diploma Management, a Diploma in Project Management and a Diploma in Interior Design.

As the Group Chief Operating Officer, Lisa oversees the asset and tenancy management of approximately 6,500 properties across NSW and Queensland.
Operating the key functions of Compass’ provision of tenancy services, Lisa leads an Executive Operations team managing over sixty employees across eight frontline locations. Lisa is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic operational policy contributing to ongoing reform in housing service and the establishment of strategic partnerships linking tenants, housing, support, training and education. Lisa oversees the Housing Access allocations and the homelessness program - This Way Home, in Newcastle as well as multiple other supported tenancy projects aimed at providing current tenants with pathways to self-sustainability.
Commencing her career in Merchant Banking, Lisa has held financial, business management and senior management positions for not for profits and commercial entities over the past 20 years. Qualified as a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), holds a Bachelor of Business (B.Bus) and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Lisa currently holds director positions on Compass' commercial entity My Place Property, the Newcastle Art Gallery Foundation and Home4Life. Lisa was a Councillor for the Maitland City Council 2008-2012 and a Councillor for the City Of Newcastle.


Dave Adamson is the Group Executive Manager of International Development and Advisory Services at Compass Housing Services, Newcastle, NSW. He arrived in Australia in 2015 and retains the title of emeritus professor at the University of South Wales, UK, where he worked for 30 years and held the chair of Community and Social Policy. He has extensive experience of research, evaluation and policy development in housing, regeneration and anti-poverty related areas. He was the author of the Towards a National Housing Strategy. His current interests include housing policy, housing-led community renewal and social housing innovation.


Bernadette set up Compass Housing NZ in 2015, a subsidiary of one of largest social housing organisations in Australia with a 30 year history of managing social and affordable housing. She has a background in urban planning and social science; she has an established track record in planning housing in greenfield and brownfield developments for over 10 years in Australia and New Zealand.
More recently she has been in involved in planning new social housing in NZ and shares her experience of managing the differing expectations of investors, developers, private residents and social housing tenants.
Bernadette has a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from Sydney University and a PhD that she completed through City Futures Research Centre at University of New South Wales


Julie has a Bachelor Degree in Commerce, a Bachelor Degree in Business, Advanced Diploma in Management and is currently undertaking subjects leading to a Masters in Governance and Risk as well as qualifications in governance practice and investigative services.
Julie has over 10 years’ experience in the community housing sector. Prior to this Julie worked several years in the aged care sector in business development, human resources and financial services.
Julie is currently responsible for overseeing the Corporate Governance, Organisation Risk and Contractual Compliance activities. In this capacity, she is responsible for ensuring the development, implementation and monitoring of risk management, governance and compliance frameworks and systems; for coordinating and embedding performance management monitoring and compliance, quality assurance and internal audit across the organisation.


Kent has been an IT professional for over 20 years and specialises in ICT infrastructure, management and business support. He has been well recognised for his work with Citrix Xen Systems, high performance networks and software delivery.
Kent is currently working on system improvements and scalable solutions to support Compass Housing as it grows into the future.
Kent has a Cert III Information Technology, Cert IV Network Support and Cert IV PC Support, Microsoft Certified Professional.
